One of CIF’s most important products, is a unique, fully integrated software solution called Business Banker. Business Banker was developed for the SME business of the Royal Bank of Canada, one of the largest banks in North America and is being made available to financial institutions around the globe through CIF. Business Banker is a powerful and complete credit risk management tool for commercial lending in which a credit risk rating system is incorporated as well as a compliance monitoring, employee workflow management tool and a database building system. The software solution includes Basel II & Basel III compliant probability of default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD) and Expected Loss (EL) measurement tools and database.   In partnership with the Canadian software company Cognitive Group, CIF developed Business Banker, consuming 45,000 man-hours over  3 years, capturing global risk management best practices.  

Business Banker is an integrated information system that reduces operation costs and increases data reliability and accuracy. Business Banker also decreases loan origination processing time and improves borrower information allowing for efficient credit rating analysis for both large and SME lending. Implementation of the powerful Business Banker solution helps financial institutions to reduce bad debt and loan losses and reducing problem loans, increases profits.
Business Banker is a complete credit granting system from the starting credit application phase to the follow-up and monitoring processes  for commercial and SME lending. Designed for all levels of complexity and loan size, the system effectively and efficiently handles clients from a small SME loan of as little as $10,000I  to large loans of, for example, $500,000,000 that involve many of the financial institution’s resources. The system can also reduce the time to prepare, review and approve credit requests by as much as 50% over current processes.  The compliance monitoring module is a centralized automated monitoring system that   can be used at all levels of complexity to effectively monitor financial parameters for a lender, environmental parameters for a government or operational inspections for a complex system.
